Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick for Man City in Champions League qualifier

Steaua Bucharest 0-5 Manchester City
David Silva opened the scoring in the 13th minute giving Manchester City an early lead in their qualifier tie against Steaua Bucharest.
Sergio Aguero scored a hat-trick that made up for Kun missing two penalties as Manchester City defeated Steaua Bucharest 5-0 in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier tie on Tuesday.
Pep Guardiola stuck by Kun after he missed two penaltys.
“Sergio can keep taking the penalties as far as I am concerned. If he is confident to go on, then I am confident,” said Man City boss Guardiola. “And I like that he had the strength to take the second one after missing the first. It is not always about how many times someone falls down. It is about how many times they can also pick themselves up.”
Superstar striker Aguero scored just before the break and then twice more in the second half after Nolito had netted his first goal for Pep Guardiolo’s City.
Reportedly Argentine striker Aguero suffered from a laser pen shone in his face before his first penalty kick.
“Penalties are penalties, and he has focused to hit it. He was not let down, focused on the game and smashed three goals afterwards,” said Guardiola. “We are almost in the Champions League. That was our target. It was a great performance, great attitudes. The result is amazing; I am so satisfied with the way we played, a big compliment to these fantastic players. All the managers in the world want to create chances and concede few. We are there. Now it’s rest and focus on Stoke City and the second game.”
Manchester City look assured of a place in the Champions League group stage but still have the second leg of their tie to face at the Etihad next Wednesday.
Of note is that veteran goalkeeper Joe Hart was left on the bench by Pep Guardiola in favour of goalie Willy Cabellero. Cabellero earned City’s first clean sheet of the season.
Guardiola made only two changes for City from their weekend England Premier League victory over Sunderland saw Pablo Zabaleta and Nicolas Otamendi come in for Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy.
