FC Chelsea Update : Chelsea Tickets

The win sends a message to the other titan EPL clubs that with new summer signings Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas on board, Chelsea will have a side to be reckoned with this season in the 2014 – 2015 battle for silverware and trophies.

Burnley’s only goal was scored by Scott Arfield at 14 minutes.

In his Premiership debut for Chelsea, Diego Costa opened the scoring for The Blues at 17 minutes with the equalizer, giving evidence of why Jose Mourinho signed Costa for 32 million pounds from Atletico Madrid.

Former Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas fought fiercely in his Premier League return from Barca with two superb assists to his credit, setting up Andre Schuerrle who made it 2-1 and then setting up Branislav Ivanovic who scored the winner at 34 minutes.

In his debut for the Blues, Thibaut Courtois replaced goalkeeper Petr Cech as No.1.

After the match, Mourinho commented that Fabregas was a maestro in the game, directing the speed, intensity, and direction of the clash.

Chelsea next host Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on August 23.
