Manchester City Win Capital One Cup 3-1

After their 3-1 Capital One Cup 2014 win against Sunderland at Wembley Stadium, 60 year-old Man City manager Manuel Pellegrini is determined to add more silverware to City’s trophy case this campaign.

Pelegrini said the important win gave his men confidence – and high hopes to win more trophies in all competitions. He said that one trophy was not enough to a strong club with top players.

Sunderland opened the scoring with a goal from Fabio Borini in the first half.

In the second half, Yaya Toure leveled for City and Samir Nasri scored a conversion from Aleksandar Kolarov.

Jesus Navas scored the third goal for City.

Plan now to watch the 2015 Capital One Cup clash – The Football League’s showpiece trophy event that is one of the three major honors of the England football season.
