However, Suarez may change his mind about moving to Arsenal because he is doubtful of their Champions League prospects.

Suzrez is in a dilemma over whether or not to officially request a transfer to force through a move to the Emirates.

After telling Liverpool management that he wants the opportunity to play championship league football, Suarez does not want to join Arsenal and end up in the Europa League in the 2013-14 season.

Arsenal face a difficult play-off to qualify for the Champions League proper three days before the transfer window closes.

Suarez has confided in international team-mate Edinson Cavani who has recently joined PSG from Napoli for £55m.

“We have been speaking a lot and, while I can’t tell you everything, I can tell you that he is desperate to start playing Champions League football," said Cavani.

“Liverpool already know that, though, because he has told them.

“I think if he thought Liverpool would qualify for Champions League football next season he would stay but, with the other top teams in England adding players, he doesn’t think Liverpool have the resources to break into the Champions League spots.

“I have said before one of the most complete strikers in the world needs to be playing at the top level and I hope Liverpool understand that.

“He doesn’t want to leave on bad terms because he respects the club and fans, but he needs to achieve his dreams in the game.”

Suarez has a £40m clause - and Arsenal have reportedly tabled a bid of £40,000,000 +$1 which they believe should allow him to leave.

Real Madrid is another option for Suarez.

Liverpool stated they will not sell to any club who do not meet their £50m valuation of Suarez.
