Tottenham Hotspur Update - Arsenal v Tottenham Hotspur Tickets

Real Madrid reportedly has given up their plans to sign the four-time Footballer of the Year, after AVB said Tottenham will not sell Bale at any price this summer.

Villa has reached an agreement to let Villa go and the two clubs only need to agree on a fee, as Tottenham’s offer to Barcelona has not yet met the £8.6million asking price.

Barca do not want to end up paying Villa’s wages of £110,000-a-week next season - his contract expires next May.

New Spurs hire, Paulinho, has been given a break before starting pre-season training after winning the Confederations Cup with Brazil.

The £17million midfielder is looking forward to playing with the “big players” at White Hart Lane this season.

“In Brazil we watch a lot of Premier League matches. Spurs have some big players. i hope to work with them towards new successes. “

Spurs remain keen to hire Madrid winger Jese Rodriguez who scored 22 goals last season. Jese was one of the stars of this summer’s Under-20 World Cup and has a year left on his contract.

“I want to play, and I don’t know if I’ll get many minutes in the Real Madrid first team.

“I don’t know what the club wants with me. I assume they will want to offer me a renewal but I don’t know what I will do. I’m not going to lie about it.”
