Two years ago AVB was shining as a new star in the world of European football management.

Only one year ago André Villas-Boas was fired after FC Chelsea lost to "lowly" West Bromwich Albion after the club had dropped out of Premier League top four placement.

In the beginning of the 2013 second half of the season, AVB has taken Tottenham Hotspur to third place in the England Premier League with a winning streak that started in December.

AVB's men, especially Gareth Bale, are looking fit, fast inspired, agressive and focused on winning their matches. Mousa Dembele and Gylfi Sigurdsson weigh in heavily to make the Spurs formidable as they move toward the Europa League trophy and top Premiership placement with the Champions League in mind.

The Spurs soundly defeated Inter Milan 3-0 in the Europa League and AVB is happy to be managing a side that has won its last 12 games. And AVB has been awarded Manager of the Month trophies for December and February.

At FC Chelsea, Andres Villas Boas won 19 in 40 matches, lost 10 and drew 11 - giving him a winning percentage of 47.50 per cent. To date at Tottenham Hotspur, AVB won 22 out of 41 matches, lost 8 and drawn 11 -giving him a winning percentage of 53.66 per cent.

AVB said he feels “like a different manager and a different person” since being fired at Chelsea.

“You always learn from your mistakes and you try to improve on those mistakes, he said.” Your man-management, your preparation for the game and your training sessions, everything is experience. In another way you adapt to the culture of the club where you live in, all of those factors add up to a single person improving from a single experience.”

Chelsea moved down to fourth place below the Spurs. The Blues, lost to Steaua Bucharest in the Europa League.
