Premier League Update: Arsenal v Aston Villa

Last week there was no movement at the top of the Premiership. Man Utd remain in 1st, Man City in 2nd, Chelsea in 3rd, Spurs in 4th and Arsenal in 5th - just 4 points behind the Spurs and 5 points behind Chelsea with 26 matches under their belts this campaign. Under the right circumstances, the Gunners could easily finish in the top three this season.

They are 21 points behind leaders Man United in the Premier League and were knocked out of the Capital One Cup by League Two Bradford at the quarter-final stage.

After the Gunners loss in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie at the Emirates, they will have to pull up to win the second leg to stay in the running for Champions League silverware this season.
