Premiership Update

After today's Premiership battles for silverare, Manchester United remain in 1st with 49 points; Manchester City are 7 points behind with 42 points; Chelsea ae in third with 38 points; Tottenham Hotspur are in fourth with 36 points; Arsenal are in fifth tied with Everton with 33 points moving into 2013.

Heading into the New Year, Chelsea has secured third place in the top tier of the Premiership.

Chelsea’s Frank Lampard scored both of his team’s goals in The Blues 1-2 win during the Barclays Premier League match between Everton and Chelsea at Goodison Park on December 30, 2012 in Liverpool, England.

Chelsea were 1-down within sixty seconds as Everton’s Steven Pienaar opened the scoring putting Everton ahead in the first minute.

Lampard equalised before half-time, and then scored a crucial winner 19 minutes from time.

The veteran midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and is free to talk to clubs on the continent from January 1.
