Boxing Day Premiership Football Tickets

Boxing Day & Premiership Holiday Football Tickets - ‘squeeky bum time’

There’s no winter break in the English Premier League as the EPL league presents exciting clashes of league giants for the whole family on Boxing Day and through the holidays.

The Premiershio clubs placed 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th are all on 30 points and just five points separate the relegation zone from 13th place.

The current English Premiership season has arrived at halfway point with Boxing Day packed with a mouth-watering round of fixtures to be played on December 26th.

Top of the table clubs Manchester United and Manchester City are wanting to win for maximum points going into the New Year.

Man United have a four-point lead at stake when they host Newcastle. United go into this match fully aware of how easily it can fall behind. Newcastle has won only one of their last 22 matches against Manchester United in all competitions.

Champions Manchester City hope for a win at Sunderland.

At the other end of the Premiership division, rock bottom Reading will hope for a surprise win at home to Swansea and QPR face West Brom.

United, four points clear of City at the top, will be confident of defeating Newcastle United.

With seven points separating City from Chelsea in third, the title looks like a two-horse race at this point, with 20 games apiece remaining.

United manager Alex Ferguson has indicated that he will rotate his men for the busy Christmas program, with three games to play in a short space of time.

“The team won’t be the same team in any of these games,” Ferguson said. “There will be changes each game.” “We have every right to expect a challenge,” he said.

“That’s why I am looking at December as an opportunity to gather points and make sure we are top of the league come New Year’s Day.

“We know there is going to be a challenge, it could come from Chelsea too but certainly City and ourselves will be battling it out.”

Man City boss Roberto Mancini needs as many points as possible.

“It’s more important to score early on in games – my heart is not strong for these late goals,” said Mancini. “When you are in the last two or three minutes it can be difficult if you don’t score in the first half when you have lots of chances.”

Chelsea are back in third after their eight goals defeated Aston Villa.

“The team is still progressing and improving,” said Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez. “We are trying to adjust the little things still in every training session – the players have been really focused from day one, wanting to learn and improve – and to see them taking effect is very positive.”

Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham and West Bromwich Albion are level on points in fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh, but with Arsenal’s game postponed because of a strike by London Underground. Everton clashes with Wigan, Tottenham travels to Aston Villa and West Brom competes with relegation-threatened QPR. Eighth-placed Liverpool travels to Stoke City. Bottom side Reading faces Swansea and Fulham hosts Southampton.

Great tickets are still available for all holiday EPS fixtures.
