Villas-Boas's first Premier League match in charge of Chelsea FC was a trip to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City on August 14, 2011 that resulted in a 0-0 draw.

Chelsea are in 5th place on the Premier League table - with Manchester City on top, Manchester United are 2 points behind in 2nd place,  Tottenham Hotspur in 3rd, and Arsenal in 4th just 3 points ahead of Chelsea in the battle for the Premier League title and 2012-13 Champions League placement.
