Fernando Torres Scissor-kick Leads Chelsea to 1-0 Win Over

Manager Andre Villas-Boas made only one change from his Chelsea side that beat Portsmouth in the FA Cup in their last match.

Chelsea's superstar striker, Fernando Torres made a stunning scissor-kick shot on goal, which bounced off Frank Lampard - scoring the winning goal against Sunderland today during their soccer match at Stamford Bridge in London January 14, 2012.

Frank Lampard was in the right place at the right time today scoring for the third successive match since his latest recall by enabling a goal which owed everything to a superb Fernando Torres volley that smashed against the crossbar and back off Lampard.

Torres was fit and confident as Chelsea kept a clean sheet.

With Chelsea's three points, they cut the gap to leaders Manchester City to eight points, and set back the Sunderland revival under Martin O'Neill.
