Crystal Palace earned a surprising extra-time victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford to reach the Carling Cup semi-finals v Cardiff.

 

In the second half, Palace substitute Darren Ambrose powered a 35-yard drive into the top corner. United were on level terms four minutes later when Federico Macheda scored a penalty. Then Glenn Murray headed in from a free-kick to put Palace ahead.
