Van Persie Praises His Boss

Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie leads the Premier League in goals this season with 13, ahead of Man City's Edin Dzeko and Sergio Auguero with 10, and Man Utd's Wayne Rooney with 9.

The 28-year-old striker has been in stunning form this season and has scored a remarkable 108 goals in 246 appearances since he arrived from Feyenoord in 2004.

‘I’m so thankful I met him. When I was 20 he asked me, ‘Why are you not a top player yet?’ I said, ‘Because of this, this and this’.

He told me to think about the reasons why and a couple of years later asked me again, ‘Are you a top player?’

"It was then I started to realise’.
