Cristiano Ronaldo Receives Pichichi Trophy

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo recently attended the 2011 Marca Award Ceremony to collect the Pichichi Award for his role as top scorer in La Liga last season with 41 goals. Messi was second with 31 goals, Aguero and Negredo tied for third with 20 goals, and Rossi came in fourth with 18 goals.

At the ceremony, Ronaldo was questioned about whether he could overcome his own goal record.

“In football nothing is impossible. Everything can be beat. I hope to exceed that figure.  I want to thank my teammates and the team for helping me get this trophy,” said Ronaldo.

” I must also assist my teammates on a match. It’s part of my job, just like my colleagues would do for me. We must do best for the team, and help each other.”

” It was a good year for me. The title of top scorer is very important.”

Real Madrid boss Mourinho also received an award for best coach.

“I hope the next will get more calm because I learn from my experiences,”  said Mourinho.

Portuguese soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, born February 5, 1985, is a winger for La Liga's Real Madrid and also plays for the Portuguese national team.
