England dominated possession in the early stages with Downing, Young and Rooney.

 Wales has clearly improved since the last time the teams met in March. Wales grew into the half and enjoyed some good possession with Ramsey and Bale providing quality in midfield.

England broke the deadlock at 35 minutes when Young smashed the ball low and hard past Hennessey.

Wales finished the match strongly but England held on for the victory.
