Man Utd May Sell Dimitar Berbatov to PSG

Dimitar Bervatov

Dimitar Berbatov’s agent states that the striker is happy at Manchester United but he has not yet been contacted over a new contract for his client.

Berbatov has just one year left on his current contract and talks have stalled over a new agreement since he believes he deserves more  for topping the England Premiership scoring chart last season.

Berbatov was left off United’s 18-man squad for the Champions League final by Sir Alex Ferguson.

He reportedly left the ground humiliated, having been told the news but  watched the match from the changing rooms. He has failed to score in the Champions League in over 2 years.

He cost £30.75 million when he signed from Tottenham in 2008 but has failed to win over the majority of the United fans during his tenure with The Red Devils.

He will attract interest from a host of other top European clubs if he decides to leave the Premier League champions.

Javier Hernandez’s form in his first season in England has pushed him ahead of the Bulgarian in the pecking order to partner Wayne Rooney upfront and with the return of Danny Welbeck - Danny Welbeck  who is eager to prove himself after a year on loan at Sunderland - and Federico Macheda to the club, he may find first-team opportunities limited next season.

United also have back up from Michael Owen - who has signed a new one-year deal.

A move to Bayern Munich has been linked with a £10 million bid for the striker.
