Wayne Rooney Shows Off New Hairline

Rooney confirmed he had a hair transplant at the clinic:

'Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant. I was going bald at 25 why not. I'm delighted with the result,' he wrote.

'It's still a bit bruised and swollen when it dies down u will be first to see it. Anyone recommend any good hair gel. Haha'

The Man Utd striker was seen leaving the clinic in London - wearing a hood and baseball cap to cover his head.

Rooney later posted a photo of the results on Twitter, saying: "Hi all there's my head. It will take a few months to grow. Still a bit bloody to. But that's all normal."

Rooney is on holiday in Barbados with wife Coleen and baby son Kai.

The transplant is said to have lasted eight hours.

"Yes, Wayne's had his hair done. His decision - not me asking him, like a lot are saying. Pleased for him and it will look great," said Coleen Rooney.

A source said, "Wayne has been thinking about treatment for some time. He asked to meet a model who had the procedure and was so impressed he booked in for a two-day treatment. Doctors have told him to expect significant improvement."
