The Spurs hope to have a deal finished by Sunday ensuring superstar David Beckham joins them on loan from LA Galaxy for two months.

With several high profile football clubs interested in signing David Beckham  – White Hart Lane seems to be his top choice for several reasons.

Becks was part of Tottenham’s School of Excellence when he was kid where he learned to play football as a little boy.

Spur’s manager Harry Redknapp hopes that the deal will be finished any day now and he has invited the former Real Madrid match to watch them play against Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup third Round tie this weekend.

“I think he could be here on Sunday possibly if what I’m being told on the grapevine is right. The clubs are talking and there is a good chance it will happen. Hopefully he will come to the game, I’m sure. I’m not 100% sure but he could be here on Sunday,” said Redknapp.

David Beckham will soon be playing against first place Manchester United in the Premier League  on January 16th at White Hart Lane.

When Beckham previously played in the Premier League, he achieved great success with Manchester United, where he won 6 premier league titles, 2 FA Cups and a UEFA Champions league in 1999. He then left the Red Devils for Real Madrid for a deal worth around 23 Million pounds.

Originally Beckham said he only wanted to play for Manchester United. However, with Sir Alex Ferguson not interested, Beckham favored Tottenham, with Harry Redknapp being a long term fan of the midfielder.
