Liverpool Update - Suarez Hat-Trick Delivers 3-0 Victory v Norwich City
Liverpool FC is in eighth place in the Premier League table going into their clash v Chelsea fC in the upcoming FA Cup 2012 Final Match.
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez scored a beautiful goal from 55 yards to complete a stunning hat-trick in a 3-0 Premier League victory for FC Liverpool against Norwich City at Carrow Road today.

Manager Kenny Dalglish had praise for Suarez and the rest of his men following the win.
“It is called a work in progress,” said Dalglish. “We have said that before and there is no need for us to change.
“After the Carling Cup I said we are not the finished article and we are saying the same thing now.”
“He’s a special player. It was a fantastic performance.
“Everybody knows what’s coming ahead on Saturday but the team did their jobs professionally and efficiently.”
“The players who play on Tuesday will have the same determination to get the victory,” said the Liverpool manager. “I can’t guarantee we will be as good as that but the players who play will do as well as they can.”

“Luis has been like that many times this year and not been rewarded – and it’s the same with the team.
“That third goal is not difficult to score if you’ve got Luis Suarez’s ability – it’s more difficult if you are a mere mortal.
“The clean sheet was also important for us. It gives the defenders and Pepe Reina a bit of a boost.”
Midfielder Steven Gerrard had praise for Suarez as well.
“I was just about to give him a rollicking but I ended up clapping him,” said Gerrard. “It was a fantastic individual performance by Luis. It was world class, so clinical.
“We are lucky to have him. Only certain players in the world can score goals like that third one – and he is one of them. It was about vision more than technique.”

Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool FC Manager
Liverpool Update
Liverpool are in seventh place in the England Premier League battle for silverware this campaign.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish blamed tiredness, injuries and refereeing decisions for Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat by Wigan, their fifth loss in six league games.
“Every single one of them is capable of passing to someone in the same colour shirt,” r e marked Dalglish.
“But I think the toll of three games in six days took the edge off them a little bit.
“It doesn’t matter how good you are, you still need to have a bit of bounce of the ball with some decisions.”

Carling Cup Highlights
Liverpool relied upon penalties to defeat Cardiff City in the 2012 Carling Cup final at Wembley. Joe Mason fired the Welshmen into a surprise lead, before Martin Skrtel levelled after half time. The game went to extra time and substitute Dirk Kuyt scored a winner for Liverpool, but Ben Turner scored soon afterward with just two minutes left.
Penalties followed, and it was Anthony Gerrard who missed the decisive spot kick as Liverpool defeated Cardiff 3-2 for the silverware after the shootout.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, whose cousin Anthony missed the decisive spotkick, said, “It’s always cruel when it comes to penalties, but there has to be a loser. It was always going to be that one of us was sad and one celebrating. I’ve got mixed emotions. Obviously I’m delighted to win the cup for our supporters, but I feel for Anthony and Cardiff. It doesn’t matter what I say to him – he’s going to be down. I’ll be there for him and all the family will be behind him.”

“It was incredible, an incredible day. I was very disappointed not to play longer than 15 minutes but I have to put that aside. I’m so happy to have scored the goal. The most important thing was we kept believing and in the end I think we deserved this trophy,” Dirk Kuyt.
