Fernando Torres, FC Chelsea
Summer Transfer Rumors - Torres, Cavani, Carroll, Villa, Bale, Ronaldo, Levandowski
Barcelona reportedly hope to recruit Chelsea superstar Fernando Torres. Barca boss Tito Vilanova has been impressed with Fernando's performances for Chelsea. He'll replace David Villa, who is off to a Premiership club.
Chelsea and Man City, are favourites to land the 26-year-old Uruguayan, but have both refused to meet the £53 million buy-out clause in the striker’s contract that Napoli insist has to be met in full.
“It would certainly be a great honour to join one of the illustrious teams that are looking at me because I dreamed about doing that as a child,” said Cavani.
Paris Saint-Germain is interested in £85m Gareth Bale. In fact they're going to pay £10m in compensation and hire André Villas-Boas to replace Carlo Ancelotti as manager as well.
Meanwhile, Spurs are hopeful that £36m will lure Leandro Damião and Roberto Soldado away from Internacional and Valencia.
Now in the "big-time" action, David Moyes wants Cristiano Ronaldo or Robert Lewandowski added to his squad at Manchester United. The newly hired Man United boss may have to pay a couple of million euros the way of Bayern Munich to snag Lewandowski, due an agreement with the Poland striker. Moyes plans to sign the Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay for £15m.
Andy Carroll is close to completing a £15.5m move from Liverpool to West Ham, where Sam Allardyce is hoping to bring Demba Ba back on loan from Chelsea.
