"Great result for the lads last night, gutted I wasn't involved but made it a bit easier to see them get a convincing win. Hopefully we can do the same on Tuesday!," said Wayne Rooney on his facebook page.

Ukraine midfielder Yevhen Konoplyank feels Roy Hodgson's men are too dependant on Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney, who will miss Tuesday's tie with a head injury.

Roy Hodgson's men travel to Kiev as leaders of Group H.

England are without Rooney due to a severe head injury and Konoplyanka, who scored in the 1-1 draw at Wembley last September, believes Hodgson's men rely on Rooney for inspiration.

“We were unfortunate not to beat England in London, we should have won," Konoplyanka was quoted as saying in the Sunday Mirror.

“We dominated for a lot of the game and it took a late penalty for them to draw with us in their own stadium.

“They didn’t have Rooney that night and it is good news for us England won’t have him again.

“Every nation has their stand-out player, but I can’t think of any nation that are as reliant on one player as England are on Rooney.

“England are a different team when he plays. When he isn’t, you can see they are looking for inspiration from somebody else, but can’t find it."

In their last World Cup Qualifier clash the England National Football Team’s squad included Hart, Walker, Cahill, Jagielka, Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Wilshere, Walcott, Lambert, Welbeck. Subs: Ruddy, Smalling, Baines, Carrick, Cleverley, Milner, Barkley, Defoe, Young, Sterling, Townsend, Forster.

England's manager Roy Hodgson wants to lead England to Brazil but is frustrated that two high-profile Premier League fixtures are scheduled immediately before the national team's vital World Cup qualifiers.

When matches between big clubs are scheduled immediately before international breaks it is difficult for England players to rest up and prepare for key fixtures.

On the weekend of August 31-September 1 champions Manchester United take on Liverpool at Anfield and Arsenal play host to local rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

England's hopes of ending up in first place in Group H and avoiding a play-off, could rest on their final two games.

England host Montenegro on October 11, with Poland visiting Wembley four days later. There are no major Premier League fixtures slated in the run-up for those matches.

If England finish second and enter the draw for the play-offs, the first leg of the tie would be played on November 15.

This season, Hart has not been in the fighting form that saw him voted by his peers into the PFA Team of the Year in 2009-2010 and 2011-12. He was beaten several times when he could have held.

Mancini held Hart partly responsible for Man City's defeat to Real Madrid when he erred against Cristiano Ronaldo late on - however earlier he made stunning saves from Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain.

Borussia Dortmund had 17 shots on goal at the Etihad but scored once because of Hart’s skill and passion.

Hart is an exceptional goalkeeper and still improving at only 25. His England record shows only 21 goals conceded, 15 clean sheets, and a saved penalty in his 28 appearances.

He has suffered only two defeats, both friendlies. England will need Hart at his best in Podgorica next week. If Hart is in top form, England will stand a great chance of reaching the 2014 World Cup.

England center-fielder, Rio Ferdinand withdrew from the England squad for World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro. He has earned a total of 81 caps for England to date, and has been a member of three FIFA World Cup squads.

A Football Association statement said, “Rio Ferdinand has been forced to withdraw from England’s forthcoming fixtures with San Marino and Montenegro. The decision was taken following a meeting in London on Sunday evening with Rio Ferdinand and England Manager Roy Hodgson. At the meeting, Rio confirmed he wants to continue playing for England and to be selected for the summer and autumn fixtures.”

Ibra Makes History in Sweden's Friends Arena

Joe Hart came out of his goalie area to head off a shot.

"I saw him come out and had to decide whether I should go in a duel in the air or wait for him to head it out," Ibrahimovic said. "When he headed it I had it in my mind to try to score. I hit it in mid-air and, when I landed, saw their defender running back to try to clear but it bounced over him. It was a good try, that is all. When it comes off it looks fantastic but, for me, I liked the first goal more because it was history: the first in the new arena."

"Sometimes, when he does these things in training or in a match, you don't think it's possible," said Sweden Manager Erik Hamren.

"Sometimes you feel you're looking at a computer game where you can do all these incredible things, because that's not possible to do that, that fourth goal. When you're working with him, often you can be surprised in training, too, because sometimes things happen that you've never seen before. I'm really lucky to have the opportunity to see him often.

"He's a true captain these days, taking care especially of the young guys. They've had him as a hero as they grew up, and now they're sitting beside him in the training camp. I saw him sitting yesterday with three of the least experienced players in the squad, after lunch, talking with them. They were just eating up his words. Listening."
