Manchester City 5-1 Huddlesfield Town

Manchester City goes through to 2017 FA Cup Quarter Finals

Man City's Sergio Aguero responded to his boss Pep Guardiola’s  demands against Huddersfield.  Manchester City superstar striker Aguero scored two goals to help his Manchester City side beat Huddersfield Town 5-1 to qualify for the FA Cup quarter finals.

Argentine striker Aguero wants to succeed playing football the Pep Guardiola way. Aguero scored twice and gave a stellar overall display in Manchester City's 5-1 thumping of Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup fifth round replay. Gabriel Jesus' arrival at the Blues sparked speculation about Aguero's future at City, with the young Brazilian starting ahead of him in the central striker role. But Jesus was taken out with injury and Kun was re-added to the starting line-up. Aguero seized his chance and scored four goals in his last two games. Speaking to the press after the FA Cup game, the popular 28-year-old said that his performance was “simply a result of carrying out his manager's instructions”.

"I am very happy for the result, for the two goals, but especially to get through to the next round,” said Aguero, “I only tried to do my best and what the manager asked me to do. Basically I try and help the team and try to make Guardiola happy with my performances."

The Argentine was Manchester City's best player in the 2015 season, scoring 26 goals and laying on eight assists in the Premier League. Aguero won the Golden Boot and was crowned the Premier League's top goal scorer after finishing the season with 26. Sadly though for the Blues, they lost their Premier League trophy to Chelsea. Aguero started 32 of City's 38 Premier League games, and scored at a rate of 0.79 goals per game. Kun's goal tally was five better than Harry Kane's, who finished the season on 21 after scoring the winner against Everton.

King's Cup Trophy Destroyed - Football Cups Tickets

King's Cup Trophy

Reportedly, Spain’s most treasured football trophy, the King’s Cup, slipped from the hands of Sergio Ramos, fell under the team bus and was crushed into pieces.

Real Madrid defender Ramos held the 15-kilo (33-pound) trophy above his head in an open-top bus as the triumphant team were about to enter Madrid’s central Cibeles Square, packed with fans partying throughout the night.

But he lost his grip and the Cup, which Real Madrid got their hands on just hours earlier for the first time since 1993 after a 1-0 victory over Barcelona, fell in front of the bus.

The team bus then ran over the silver trophy before stopping.

Emergency services workers picked up at least 10 pieces of the trophy, news radio Cadena Ser reported. “It fell, it fell, it’s fine, it’s fine,” said Ramos.

Great football tickets are available now for all top football cups.

Pepe Reina - Liverpool Goalkeeper Wants Champions League In His Future

"I won’t lie – I want to play in the Champions League and challenge for titles," said Reina

"Yes, of course, [Edwin] Van der Sar will hang up his gloves in the summer and Arsenal are also looking for a keeper. A lot of teams are looking for a keeper. There is nothing I can do or say, because I have a contract with Liverpool which I renewed last year. But I would like to be challenging for titles and be in a team with a realistic chance of winning things."

"Before, we were challenging for the Champions League and we were in the race for the title right til the end, but sadly in the last couple of years we haven't been. Nothing is fundamental but it [the Champions League is important]. I want to aspire to the maximum in my career, and that means trophies."

Champions League 2010 draw – last 16

Barcelona faces Arsenal in the last draw

Champions League 2010 draw – last 16

Milan vs Tottenham
Valencia vs Schalke
Inter vs Bayern
Lyon vs Real Madrid
Arsenal vs Barcelona
Marseille vs Manchester United
København vs Chelsea

Arsenal and Barcelona will play again, the Gunners lost to Barca last season at the quarter final stage. Arsenal will be looking for revenge and to assert themselves.

“It is a tough draw for us,” said Gunners secretary David Miles. “But given that Barcelona got the better of us last year we feel that the time is right and that we can turn the tables this time. Lionel Messi is obviously one of the quality players in Europe and manager Arsène Wenger will have done his homework. He is their main danger man.”

Tottenham will once again travel to the San Siro to face AC Milan.

Manchester United and Chelsea seem to have easier draws - Red Devils face Marseille and the Blues face FC Copenhagen.

Inter Milan and Bayern Munich were drawn against each other. “It is a very interesting draw,” said Bayern director Karl Hopfner: “It is a very interesting draw to meet them again so soon after last season’s final. We are looking forward to it but both of us have not started that well in the league or the Champions League.”

The last remaining tie is between Lyon and Real Madrid.
